| Estimates of lemming populations were made with 100 m transects with a trap every 5 m. Checked everyday for 10 days in July. We had 2 transects and caught not a single lemming.

Summary
of fauna studies: |
| The study was done as a part of a study on goose feeding ecology which includes impact of lemming herbivory on the plants of geese. Studies of geese included ringings thousands of babies and catching 1000 birds in August during the moult to ring them and measure young. Also detailed nest studies etc. etc. for peoples Masters and PHD's at Laval University. The Lapland Bunting study was for my final year project and was mainly the breeding ecology. Geese & detailed weather information can be obtained from Gilles Gauthier (Laval University, Quebec)
